Holyman Chardonnay 2017

Joe is back on top again with a much anticipated release.

Oatmeal, mixed citrus and green pear, sweet spicy ginger oak neatly folded in, spent fireworks from a distance. Medium-bodied, burst of lime and green pear, sour yoghourt, chalky and rigidly textured, juicy acidity running through its core, and a waxy feel comes as a bonus. Finish is long, bright and tingling, with a suggestion of lime rind and spice. It’s a different style to some that have come before: a bit tighter, wilder, more ‘mineral’ driven, but not the lesser for it. Wonderful.
