Ziereisen Blauer Spatburgunder 2014

German pinot noir under screw-cap off an organic vineyard, made with minimal intervention. What a coup! German pinot noir one of the rising stars of Europe too.

Glorious drink, soft and supple, sour cherry spectrum, lightly spicy with a hit of fennel and green herbs. Tannins are a touch rugged but do the trick of tightening the wine, the finish spicy and dusty. Just wonderful.
