Mac Forbes Wesburn Pinot Noir 2017

I often approach these wines with an Ent-like attitude. Let’s not be hasty. Maybe I like you, or maybe I don’t. That kind of thing. Often, I’m still none the wiser. I think this is the last Wesburn for Mac Forbes.

Raspberry, spice, aniseed, some smoke and earth. Light, but quite dense in feel with high acidity, freshness and firm tannin. Some ripe tomato and herb flavour, but just about pulls it off. The finish is persistent. It’s a curious wine. Pretty sure it will age well.
