Lark Hill Gruner Veltliner 2013

A bottle brought out for tasting by Lark Hill proprietors Sue and Dave Carpenter. Of course, Lark Hill have been leaders in Australia with the variety, this bolstering that notion. A superb wine of judicious maturity and freshness, interest and drinkability.

A wine that unfurls so wonderfully, generous but full of crisp acidity, dense in perfume with honey and ripe stone fruit but whiffs of young citrus and floral character too. A sense of ‘golden’ where the white feels generous though maintains a brisk vitality – sunshine on a cool day. Succulent is a good word too. Such enjoyment. Hope you have some tucked away.
