Known Pleasures Shiraz 2018

Known Pleasures Shiraz is of course made by Giant Steps using grapes from the Gateway Vineyard in McLaren Vale.

The mid-palate is pumped with ripe fruit but it finishes savoury, nutty and spicy. It’s an excellent shiraz. There’s a positive bitterness to the finish, floral notes, vanilla cream and woodsmoke contributions, though the ripe/juicy/silken fruit is the mainstay. It’s mid-weight and most impressive.
