Giant Steps LDR Pinot Noir Syrah 2017

I had lunch at Giant Steps recently and although things have changed since I last visited it’s still as good or better than ever. A total gem of a place – I just wish I lived closer. This exciting new wine – LDR stands for Light Dry Red – is a 51/49 blend of pinot noir from the high altitude Primavera vineyard with shiraz/syrah from the Sexton vineyard. The inspiration is Beaujolais, with a nod to the Hunter.
