Yering Station Reserve Chardonnay 2015

Traditional, let’s call it. And the rich, powerful feel has a fanbase, unswerving in many respects. Well made here. Kudos.

Ample chardonnay of creaminess, bright stone fruit flavours, spicy oak and licks of flintiness. It’s a powerful perfume too, all rich melon, nougat and sweet spice. Attractive and balanced, there’s heft to the wine but also a freshness and drinkability. Generosity hasnt’t been spared, and the it’s future says ‘mellowed and honeyed’. Lovely stuff.
