Yalumba Hand Picked Riesling 2000

Pulled this from my cellar and noticed there was no review on the site. Given that I bought a 6-pack I must have liked it at the time. Eden Valley riesling from an unheralded vintage, under screwcap, thirteen years old.

Still has some spritz, remarkably. Is both developed and fresh. Orange marmalade and lime, zesty lemon through the finish, cumquat-like notes. A little dusty, in a way. I preferred it young and it was probably better a number of years ago, but it shows no sign of falling over. Indeed you could still derive drinking pleasure from this in another 5-10 years.

Alcohol : 12.5%
Price : $NA
Closure : Screwcap
Drink : 2001 - 2017
