I’ll start with a quote from the late Len Evans – “At the end of the 60’s, Grange was the same price as Tulloch’s Private Bin.” Fair enough too I’d say. The 1965 vintage we had recently was about as good as it gets. This is the first release of a Tulloch Private Bin in over 25 years and it’s great to see the classic retro label with the modern twist of a screwcap closure (which apparently now gives you cancer…ha..idiots!). Only 300 dozen made. As an aside, if I seem to be dishing out high points in a most alarming manner, it’s because I’ve been reviewing all the top wines before I go away. I only have my own best interests at heart!
