tripe.Iscariot Aspic Grenache Rose 2015

Very interesting, very good wines from winemaker Remi Guise. Chenin blanc is his muse, but grenache is proving to be a near equally appealing bedfellow. Very pale, dry, spicy, savoury style of rose here.

Bone dry, like licking pumice, but pumice that’s soaked up watermelon juice, a touch of sour cherry perhaps, maybe some apply acidity too. It’s a very aromatic, red fruit spectrum perfume with a good dusting of clove and cinnamon spice. I like everything here. It’s certainly set to some gamey, meatier characters too. Drinkability is very high, so is charisma. This is a rose for lovers of fascinating, complex, yet delicious rose.
