Topper’s Mountain Wild Ferment Tannat 2013

From New England and one of New South Wales’ most interesting producers, certainly for the modern interpretation of wines from the Premier State. Though New England has a legacy in agriculture that includes grape growing, it’s only been in recent years that it’s been firming up as a potential vanguard of avant garde wine. Good to see younger gen wine producers also getting involved, with Jilly and Konpira Maru foremost in mind. Mark Kirkby from Topper’s is the name to put in lights.
