Terraviva Petit Vino Rosato Frizzante 2014

From the northern part of Abruzzo, in Tortoreto in Teramo. TerraViva was established in 1970, with 2008 being the first year the wines were bottled under a family label. The ocean is almost upon the vineyard itself, and elevation is at 100-200 metres above the sea. “We wanted to capture the feel of our land, only using indigenous grape varieties of the region, and wanted to capture the minerality that appears from the location. We had to only work naturally to achieve this, we believed. We grow organically [ed. since 1991, which is very unusual], we ferment naturally, we add only a small amount of sulphur, therefore”. Disgorged in 2016, after 18 months on lees. It’s a metodo classico style.
