SubRosa Mount Cole Shiraz 2013

Some more intel on this producer if you click here. Definitely someone to watch.

About 30% comes off Malakoff vineyard in the Pyrenees. The rest comes from the Mount Cole site in the Grampians. The next release will be from 2015; 2014 was skipped over. “I wanted to make it 100% Malakoff, and made that portion whole bunch, and it had great aroma, but didn’t have the weight, so I blended for a better wine”, says winemaker Adam Louder. Louder worked with Trevor Mast at Mount Langi, amongst many high profile places, and is setting sail on his own winemaking project, looking to produce wines that show where they come from, with little in the way of veils in winemaking.
