Savaterre Pinot Noir 2010

From the solid 2010 vintage in Beechworth and Keppell Smith’s steady, gentle hand. Picked through the vineyard by clone in several passes to get each at Smith’s intended ripeness. Whole bunch natural yeast ferment, no additions. Great year for growing grapes in the region with warmth, then some good rain, then dryness to finish things off. The bounce back from ‘troubles of 2009’, which uncannily the 2009 Savaterre Pinot Noir seemed to miss.
