Pyramid Valley Vineyards Angel Flower Pinot Noir 2014

The 2015 ‘Home’ pinot noirs were on display in New Zealand last week, but the 2014 is still in market and in supreme form. The close-planted vineyard is in glorious health, the winemaking feels a little more fine tuned and yet lets the grapes do their own expressive thing. One of New Zealand’s greatest sites for wine, it should be written. This release is a little breezier, fresher-feeling, less savoury, flighty.
