Our Fathers Shiraz 2015

From Giles Cook MW: “This wine was inspired by my desire to give something back following the death of my father in 2013. Sadly, his death was followed a year later by my mother’s suicide, shortly before the inaugural 2014 vintage was launched in the UK. It’s from a single site in Ebenezer, hand-picked with 40+% whole bunches. Natural ferment then pressed to 500 litre 1 year old French puncheons. No fining/filtration. Total Production 1050 bottles.

All profits go to charity related to palliative care/mental health and cancer care.”

What is The Wine Front?

The WINEFRONT has flourished as a wine review and information site since 2002. We believe in hard work, realistic scoring, reliability and rigorous independence. We cover Australian wine principally but we extend coverage across the wider world of wine. The hunt for the next beautiful wine knows no boundaries. The WINEFRONT is run by Campbell Mattinson, Gary Walsh and Mike Bennie. A full history of reviews and articles is available to subscribers via the WINE SEARCH tab.
