Olek Bondonio Langhe Nebbiolo 2015

This Nebbiolo is in reality a little Barbaresco Starderi. The vines from this prestigious cru were affected by hail twice in June 2015, and because of the grapes’ skin damage, Olek could not proceed with the usual 2-3 months skin maceration and ‘limited ‘ it to one month without pump overs. After fermentation in cement, the wine was aged in old barrels of 500 and 1,000 litres, and a few old barriques.

says importer Giorgio De Maria.
