Mount Pleasant Hunter Valley Elizabeth Semillon 2002 ($17) cork:This will age well but it's bang-on for drinking right now - this is a perfect example of mature, frisky, delightful Hunter Valley semillon at its pretty-hearted best. It smells of honeysuckle and toast and tastes of lemons and talc and shells and lime, the finish of it gently hugging your tongue, as if it doesn't want to leave. This is the most enjoyable new-release Elizabeth I've tasted in years; light on its feet, delicate, tasty and serene. Damn it, I think I'll head out to dinner with it right now. Drink: 2007-2013. (NR because of the Wine Hunter book, but 93-94 points if I was rating it).
