Medhurst Estate Chardonnay 2016

A producer that seems to be on the rise at present, which is good to see. Lovely site located in the Gruyere sub-region of the Yarra Valley.

Grapefruit and lime, white peach, vanilla wafer biscuits, spice, and a whisper of smokiness. Medium bodied, richness and juiciness of fruit, bright acidity, a lime and vanilla flavour, mainly, and a soft milky texture, that turns flinty on the satisfying finish. Beautifully turned out. Pretty much ready to go too, for my tastes.

Tasted : Nov17
Alcohol : 13%
