Masi Costasera Amarone Classico 2000

I’ve had this Masi Costasera Amarone in the cellar for a while – been meaning to drink it. Went to the beautiful Simone’s Restaurant in north-east Victoria, in the town of Bright, the other night and drank it with venison carpaccio and then oxtail gnocchi. Worked a treat. Only wish I’d decanted it – seemed muted for the first half an hour or so, but it gradually bloomed into some kind of lovely.
