Les Fruits Blackout Red Blend 2016

The mourvedre started fermenting and smelled like saucisson, says winemaker Tim Stock. Sounds like my socks. Just kidding. Grenache and syrah join in with the mourvedre. The fruity comes from Wayne Ahrens biodynamic farm in the Barossa Valley.

Scents of dark currants, plum, game meat, black olive and brambles. Savoury to taste, dusty and firm with tannin. Wonderful with its chew and grip and still offers gentle sweetness of fruit. A light saline freshness to finish. What a wonderful thing to drink!
