Lake Breeze Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Ever good value, and quality. Cabernet is Langhorne Creek’s best grape, I think.

Chocolate cake with raspberries, a little gum leaf/menthol perfume, even-handed use of spicy cedar oak. It’s full-bodied, but only just, delivers a flood of choc-blackberry satisfaction, toasty oak nicely tucked in, supple fine-grained tannin is present throughout, finish is long, with a bit of the old savoury and saline coming through. This is a yes. It’s a toss up between 93 or 94 points: they caught me in a good mood tonight.
