Kusuda Riesling 2017

Over the years I haven’t seen many Kusuda rieslings so this was a treat.¬†Holds 4.5 grams of residual sugar. Kusuda and riesling is sometimes overlooked in the scheme of New Zealand wine.

Really pretty bouquet showing lime juice, faint ginger, faint tonic water, though lavender and talc also come to mind. Dart-shaped and exceptionally long, quite concentrated, crisp yet shows some light, juicy sweet-lime character. Finishes with chalky pucker. Just so good.
