Kooyong Clonale Chardonnay 2006
Whole bunch pressed and barrel fermented naturally without inoculation. Matured for 10 months in French oak (15% new).
Aromas of white peach, lemon, almond and struck flint. Crisp and lively. On the palate light to medium bodied with lemon, white peach, hazelnut and a little spice. Dry and flinty with slightly sour lemony acidity. Good texture. Finishes with good length and some bitter lemon flavours. A bargain that offers heaps of complexity and interest.
