Kate Hill Riesling 2016

Kate Hill wines are new to me but as always, Mike Bennie is five steps ahead. I see on the thread there that Adair recently had the wine I’m reviewing here too. Interesting. This riesling from the Coal and Derwent valleys in Tasmania went through a long, cool ferment before spending an extended amount of time on lees (in stainless). I tasted this wine yesterday and was spellbound; I had to come back again today to see if it would have the same impression.
