Hutton Wines Triptych Semillon 2013

Aside Hunter Valley, I like the straight Semillon out of the Barossa, and even more so, Margaret River.

Interesting wine to smell, and in a good way. Something like thistle and dried grass, lime and its zest, almost a fancy spice and white pepper and celery edge, yet it seems ripe and buoyant. Light bodied, straight lines and edges, gentle chalkiness and crystalline acidity, with a softness and slip of cream. Very long clear finish with the piquancy of lime zest to close. Beautiful. Hard to stop drinking it.
