Holm Oak Pinot Noir 2017

Tamar Valley pinot noir here. Holm Oak a good grower-producer too. This has plenty of Tasmania’s pinot ‘richness’ though from 2017 cuts a lither shape.

Attractive scents of choc-cherry, raspberry jam, mint and clove spice. The palate is juicy and yet hemmed with a web of silty tannins. Feels quite transparent in flavour, but there’s some nice fruit sweetness and a little rub of dried herb complexity. The finish is pretty zingy, a touch sherbetty-lemony, sticks out a bit, but the general vibe here is of a very pleasant pinot noir.
