Giuseppe Quintarelli Bianco Secco Ca’ del Merlo 2015

One of the great estates of Italy. Quintarelli is a name synonymous with high quality, cult wines, fastidious winemaking, detail in vineyard and a ‘slow food’-esque approach to production. Quintarelli is one of Italy’s Wendourees, if you will. The wines are outstanding, a little idiosyncratic (in the best possible sense) and worthy for those who collect the world’s great wines. The red wines are the famous ones, which makes this singular white fly under the radar – a boon for those seeking additional character from the producer.

This is a blend of garganega, trebbiano toscano, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and the lesser-known saorin grape variety. There’s 12 hours of skin contact post harvest, then the wine ferments and rests for a long stretch before release.
