Giuseppe Cortese Barbaresco Rabaja 2006

Moving on from the beautiful and articulate 2004, through to the more grunting and sullen 2005, to this excellent vintage. Importer: Eurocentric Wine

Plenty of volume here. Cherries, roses, a little pepper, sweet new leather. Medium bodied, muscular and tea-tannined with crisp acid balance and ample, almost sweet, black fruit chiming in on the finish. Not the charm and finesse of the 2004, instead you have power and commanding structure. One for the cellar.

Tasted : Jul-13
Alcohol : 14%
Price : $70
Closure : Cork
Drink : 2017 - 2026
