Frederick Stevenson Montepulciano 2012

Bit of mystery around Frederick Stevenson and his wines, but immediately having seen a couple reckon they’re in that ‘producer to watch’ zone. Sourcing fruit from South Australian sites of interest, making wine after hours from his day job, small bottling runs (this was 200 bottles total!) and practicing a bit of ‘less is more’ winemaking, for good measure. The fruit for this wine comes from an Eden Valley vineyard owned by one Tim Fechner, just north of Angaston. Rugged up there. Beautiful too.
