Forest Hill Block 1 Riesling 2014

foresthillrieslingImpressive vineyard at Forest Hill. Local winemakers almost speak about it with reverence. Rightly so when you consider who had tended it up to recently, and its age and position. Riesling has seemingly always done well here.

Steely, stony scents, shows lift of honeysuckle and concentrated citrus. Dense citrus apple in the palate with lime, slate and chalky racing through. Impressive, penetrating, punchy riesling of great velocity and drive.

Tasted : NOV16
