P&V Wine and Liquor Merchants (Bottle Shop)

Gravner is a name linked to some of the world’s most intriguing, delicious, compelling wines. A true pioneer, Josko Gravner has led the way in the world of natural wine and ignited conversation, debate and celebration that surrounds the field of natural winegrowing and making.

Gravner’s wines are born from holistically-farmed, organic vineyards in the hot-bed of natural wine that is the parish of Oslavia in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northeast Italy. Of course no conversation about Gravner and the family’s wines can be removed from the incredible work with long maceration of white grapes to create some of the world’s most complex, delicious, nourishing and detailed orange wines.

P&V Wine + Liquor Merchants are so very lucky to have Josko’s daughter, Mateja, joining them at P&V on Wednesday 21NOV18. Mateja continues the incredible work of her father, breathing life into these wines that are the result of patience, attention to detail and reverence of historical winemaking. Mateja will be leading a conversation into all things the world of Gravner, and pouring both new and cellar release wines. P&V’s Mike Bennie, a frequent vistor to Oslavia, will be anchoring the discussion and tasting, and importer, Dan Clark of Addley Clark Fine Wines, will be lending character.

Come to P&V for a remarkable evening exploring Gravner, with five wines and snacks included in the ticket price ($65). A one-off opportunity to meet and engage with the wonderful Mateja Gravner and of course, these remarkable wines. Link for tickets is here.
