Equus @ Moonambel Classico 2012

EquusThis wine is made by young Owen Latta of Eastern Peake. It’s from a small family vineyard, grown using organic and biodynamic principles. New producer for me. Things linked to the Latta’s tend to be pretty good. No disappointment here.

Shows some of the maturity in bottle with figs and dates and prune-ish scents amongst the primary stuff of cherries and twigs and sage. Sort of soft in the palate, but for the web of suede tannins, and the flavours are dry-ish fruit spectrum with cranberry acidity assisting. Splays and spreads through the mouth, feels good to drink, in the zone for charisma. Nice. [/private\
