I’m tagging this as ‘Rutherglen’ though it’s from Eldorado, which I suspect sits outside any formal GI though it’s close-by to both Beechworth and Rutherglen, and both the Alpine Valleys and King Valley regions for that matter. They only made 40 dozen of this ‘Riserva’ Nero d’Avola, so if you’re interested you’ll need to be quick. It was picked from a small section of the estate vineyard, where the stalks get nice and ripe. It was fermented with 100% whole bunches and it all went into 3-year-old French oak. I don’t have a bottle image but it comes with a red-coloured label.
