Dutschke St Jakobi Shiraz 2008

Wayne Dutschke is one of the Australian wine industry’s truly nice guys. Meet him and you’ll like him, it’s almost guaranteed. This St Jakobi Shiraz is good.

Rich, generous, smooth on the tongue and powerful through the finish. Full-throttled Barossan red. And it doesn’t seem tricked up at all – it seems authentic. It tastes of port-like blackberry and oak-derived chocolate, fresh cedarwood and toast. It’s powerful, warm and polished. At its best in the middle of winter. It would warm you up in a very pleasurable way.
