Dr Edge Tasmania Chardonnay 2018

A debut Chardonnay from Dr. Ongo.

Gee, this is a wine of interest, not quite exactly the same way as a ‘person of interest’, though similar. Smoky, funky, chicken stock, almond and hazelnut savoury umami things, saline, perhaps a bit of white chocolate, turning sour-edged with yoghourt, tart green apple sorbet, citrus, cool pure acidity, a soft milk powder texture, and a very long and shapely finish. It’s complex, yet eminently neckable. Bravo.
