d’Arenberg The Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Basket pressed, racked to new and used French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Last year I used the word substantial and it was the first word to spring to mind here. This really does put a roar into the glass. Iodine, blackcurrant, graphite and peppercorn characters are delivered bold and supple. There’s a lake of fruit, a bank of tannin and an even flow between the two. It’s quality.
