Coombe Farm Chardonnay 2017

This is the ‘standard’ chardonnay from Coombe Farm. There’s also a Tribute Series Chardonnay at $50.

In pure drinking pleasure terms you’d take this over the tribute chardonnay right now; the Tribute needs time to evolve, whereas this is good now. It’s absolutely varietal, with peach and apple flavours floating confidently into areas of condensed milk and white flowers. It’s balanced, squeaky clean, refreshing even, and yet it has ample flavour. It’s nicely done.

Alcohol : 13%
Price : $37
Closure : Screwcap
Drink : 2019 - 2023
