The 06 was fantastic, I’ve served it up to friends on a few occasions and it never failed to please. The sub $20 price tag didnt hurt either. I very much look forward to trying the 07.

Bought a couple of the 06 to try this label - loved the 1st bottle, the 2nd’s languishing in a wine cooler for a few more years when I expect it’ll be even better.

As an addendum after a three day stint in the fridge I had a quick slurp and it’s looking better. I’ve added a + sign because I reckon it will be better next year (per drinking window).

There is a Stonier KBS Pinot 2006. One of the websites - think it is winelistaustralia are selling it. I understand that it will only be more broadly released early next year (not sure if that website already has it hands on it or know they will get an allocated). Also understand that it gets allocated first to top end restaurants - not sure if you could buy directly from the winery though (now or early next year). Don’t think there was ever an 05 (I know all this because I really liked the 04 and have been following up on future KBS releases).

There was a Dexter Pinot 06 (released over a year ago - there is also a Chardonnay) - current release is 07 (think 06 was the first release), pretty sure Armadale Cellars has it (they had the 06) - the Dexter wines will be tasted at one end of those Armadale Cellars courtyard tastings.

Shame about this wine after the excellent 06′. I’ll be interested when the 08 comes out next year though.

No, not yet. This is one of the very few wines I buy just about every year even if I haven’t tried it, still have back to 1996, missing 1997 and only 2000 and 2003 have turned out to be lesser but not bad wines.
I have tried a Hillside 2006 and have already indicated which camp I’m in on that one, usually buy that each year too, back to 1998, missing 1999.
