Cigliuti Langhe Nebbiolo 2016

What a year 2016 is shaping up to be, in Piedmont. Importer: Cellarhand.

Blackcurrant, raspberry, plenty of spice, dusty old wood, aromatic and masculine. Full-bodied, but fresh, almost into pastille, with savoury earth flavours keeping it in check, and no shortage of open weave tannin pushing it along, and long. Fresh to close, with plenty of energy and vibrancy. Needs a couple of years, but it’s a bit of goer.
