Brothers At War Old Vine Shiraz 2015

Grown on an old vineyard at Lyndoch in the southern Barossa Valley. Matured in all-French oak, 50% new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Not a blockbuster. You’d almost call this elegant. Medium in weight, flush with plum-like fruit flavour, brightened with raspberry and candied orange notes, and coated in coffee-cream oak. Fruit and oak are well integrated, tannin is fine, and the overall impression is that it’s been well handled. Only query is a slight tinniness to the aftertaste.
