Brookland Valley Estate Chardonnay 2017

Pretty much a wine where you know what you’re going to get every year.

Pear, grapefruit, toasty spiced oak, nougat. It’s medium weight, gentle charm of regional Chardonnay flavour backed with a fair amount of toasty oak giving a hazelnut character, flinty texture, spicy grapefruit finish of good length. Flows along very nicely, and while it’s perhaps not an exciting wine, it’s a confident and high quality one that knows exactly what it’s about.
