Brokenwood Hunter Valley Shiraz 2009

Tasted twice and I never got ’round to writing it up. Until now.

Opens a little stinky and charred but there’s a good amount of fleshy cherry and plum fruit along with Hunter earth and some vanilla oak. Appropriately firm, but fine tannin, acidity not quite settled in as yet, but no doubt will. Framed and presented in the best and most attractive medium bodied Hunter style. Good release.

Tasted : Jun11
Alcohol : 13.5%
Closure : Screwcap
Drink : 2013 - 2019+
