Blue Poles Allouran Merlot Cabernet Franc 2011

One of the things I most like about The WineFront, is that when the others are away, I pretty much get to run the show. Kind of like unrestricted access to Spotify, with no-one complaining. I’m tuning in here to 74% Merlot and 26% Cabernet Franc: country & western. Blue Poles is popular with our listeners, though Mark Gifford is a pretty obnoxious old bugger, I have to add. You know, I just type stuff directly as it pops into my head? It’s not about to change. And, to the best of my knowledge, apart from the odd Mattinson “You just can’t say that kind of stuff Walsh”, there’s just about no editorial control! Lovely. Onwards. August 2015 release date.

What is The Wine Front?

The WINEFRONT is Australia’s most active wine review site. It started in 2002 and is rigorously independent. It covers Australian wine principally but extends coverage across the wider world of wine. It aims to score all wines both realistically and reliably. The WINEFRONT is run by Campbell Mattinson, Gary Walsh and Mike Bennie.  A full history of reviews and articles is available to subscribers via the WINE SEARCH tab.
