Basket Range Wine Sholto Broderick Vineyard Blend 2016

Petit verdot, saperavi and merlot. The winemaking is by Sholto Broderick, but Mylene Bru the fantastic French natural winemaker was there helping and lending sage advice.

Choc-cherry, sweet earthiness, sniff of green herbs, lavender and violets, super pretty, sweetish perfume. Fleshy slosh of dark, sweet fruit flavours. Something primal in the wine, gnarled soft wood character and brown spice, really lavish spread of tannins and soft to close. It’s warm and generous but ultra fresh. It’s lovely wine here.
