Basket Range Wine Pinot Noir 2016

From the brilliant family Broderick in Basket Range, Adelaide Hills. True vignerons of the distinctly interesting parish of the Adelaide Hills.

Red and black cherry fruitiness, game meat, touch of char and sweet earthiness, sniff of briar. Lots to suggest that the wine has some depth and interest. Flavours run through the dark cherry spectrum and tannins are pleasingly grippy and furry. It’s a wild-ish feel to the wine but in that pleasingly complex, curious, non-fruity kind of way. Very enjoyable wine, worth the exploration.
