Auburn Wines Bannockburn Riesling 2012

Tasted through the range of Auburn 750ml size wines last night – Northburn, Aura, Lowburn, Bannockburn, Bendigo – which come from a range of different vineyards and sub-regions, and are ‘interpreted’  by the winemaker, Max Marriot, with use of residual sugar being his biggest tool. This Bannockburn was maybe my favourite, tasting through them quickly to get a fix on relative quality/qualities, and is a total production of 870 bottles. 34g/L residual sugar here.
